Identify the hidden friction points that quietly shape how people think, feel and participate at events. Explore how transitions, stimulation levels, energy dips, information load and subtle belonging cues affect what attendees can access in themselves—clarity, regulation, energy and connection.
Draw inspiration from anticipatory hospitality to reduce strain before it appears, designing environments that support human capacity rather than asking people to compensate for it.
Leave with a practical lens to help you design communication flow, breaks and movement through space that strengthen inclusion, accessibility and belonging as part of your core event infrastructure.
Learning outcomes:
Identify friction points in event environments that compress human capacity
Reframe inclusion as a structural design question rather than a compliance requirement
Apply anticipatory hospitality principles to international event planning and travel
