At the ECCL, we are committed to sustainability and eco-friendly practices in our daily operations. Here are some of our key initiatives:
Accessibility: The ECCL is easily accessible with the country-wide free public transport and is EureWelcome certified to meet the needs of participants with reduced mobility.
Energy and Water Consumption: The ECCL is committed to reducing energy and water consumption and adheres to local regulations.
Waste Management: The ECCL has a waste management system designed to minimize waste production and promote recycling.
Sustainable Procurement: The ECCL prioritizes local, ethical, and sustainable suppliers and service providers.
Amenities & Goodies: The ECCL no longer provides paper and pens in meeting rooms and selects locally produced goodies to support local organizations.
In terms of catering, their in-house caterer Sodexo is committed to sustainability and quality. They prioritize sourcing local and seasonal ingredients, minimize food waste, provide reusable cutlery and tableware, offer vegetarian options, and maintain transparency about the origin and quality of their products.
The ECCL is working towards achieving an eco-friendly label and assists event organizers in securing the Green Business Events Logo for events. Launched by the General Directorate for Tourism of the Ministry of the Economy, this logo is awarded to events that meet specific sustainability criteria.
We remain dedicated to hosting exceptional events while minimizing our environmental impact. We firmly believe that excellence and sustainability can go hand in hand.
